Portsmouth When one thinks of Portsmouth, Virginia hiking is not the activity that often springs to mind. For we who live here that is a happy fact; we get to enjoy these gorgeous locations with some degree of secrecy.

Portsmouth’s waterfront is second to none. Recent rejuvenation by city officials has brought microbreweries and restaurants to less than three blocks from the Elizabeth River, as it twists along the city’s edge, separating it from Norfolk’s beautiful and recently very vibrant waterfront…
